FHE: Personal Grooming

So we had a brief lesson and a long activity last night. The lesson was along the lines of "Our Body is a Temple" and then we talked about how we need to do more than just bathing to keep our bodies looking nice like the temple. I'm grateful that when there's a three-year-old and a one-year-old present, you can keep the lessons short and sweet.

Anyway, the results of last night's activity:

My toes and Annika's, with sparkles!

We tackled Afton and got her toenails painted too. Afton's foot is up top and Annika's is on the right. Don't they have the cutest feet?

AAAAAAAAAAND we cut Annika's hair. For the record, Annika said I could cut it that short. She's got good instincts--her hair is adorable like that. Daddy got a haircut too, but wouldn't let us paint his toenails. I think he wishes there were a few more boys in the house....

I did haircuts last night too. All 3 boys are shorn for the next couple weeks at least. I cried for my baby's hair gone, but the kid needed a haircut!

Mat's mom cried when she cut his hair the first time, because she had to cut all his cute curls off. They never came back.

As for Annika, the curls seem to be permanent. And it's such a relief to look at her short hair that isn't getting into her food or her mouth or her eyes.
