Ridiculously Snowy Day!

Disclaimer: I hate the Blogger picture upload function. Pain in the rear. Good thing I like you people.

Anyway.

Once upon a time, a little snowstorm decided to rest over a little part of the world called North Texas. It let its snowflakes go slowly, but gradually.

The Hub came home from work while the snowstorm was still building up to its potential.
He created the miniature snowman (buttons, baby carrot, and pretzels) that shall hereafter be known as Little.

Little endured the constancy of the storm that had taken up residence in our section of the atmosphere. He lasted all night, subjecting us to his unblinking button stare. Good thing we have curtains.

Not that we needed the curtains for long. As you can see to the side there, the button stare was buried in the accumulation of snowflakes by about midnight.

By the next morning, Little was completely buried.
The roads were predicted to be frozen and icy.
The Hub called in sick to work.

(Here you can play Where's the Car?)

The Hub decided to thoroughly enjoy his sick day, building Little a big brother. Big Brother is a blue-eyed pirate. Miss Bubbly skewered him--that is, she put his arms in.

Big Brother and sisters.
The snow day was completely enjoyed by all involved.
The end.

And to round things out, cute pictures of the kids.
Enjoy!

Karie - if you upload your shots to flickr, you can go to the shot there, select "all sizes," go for medium, copy the code it will give you, and insert that code on the html side of your blog edit, and the picture will show up there - no blogger upload to mess with. Loved the tiny snow man and the big one and the kids. What a memory for them!!
