The Eldest was a little apprehensive before her first lesson, but by the next day she was begging to go back. And now that lessons are over, the girls want to know when we're going again. They LOVE swimming! Yay!
My very first swimming lesson was at some woman's private pool. And during it, I saw her throw a kid off the diving board into the deep end. It did not sit well with me. Then Mom finally sent me to the YMCA - I could ride there on my bike - and after that, all was well. It's so smart to make sure a child can swim.
