Valentine's and Other Silliness

So around here, we're not big Valentine's Day celebrators. In fact, while frustrated during our homeschooling, The Eldest declared that today was the "WORST Valentine's Day ever!" Heh. I told her she was lucky we were celebrating it at all. What we do for our kids, right?

Anyway, before The Hub and I and The Boy caught rotavirus (a stomach virus--survivable, but definitely NOT fun), we got these pics of The Boy playing in his favorite toy: the top to a cake preserver. As you can see, he ALMOST fits. Also, this is the face we get when we ask him to smile.

Aaaaand this is the face we get when we say, "Show us your tongue!" He's so cooperative.

Also, this is what we get when we allow the children to play with the never-been-used vacuum tube:

Now that we're mostly recovered from the virus (please pray the girls don't catch it--that is NOT something The Hub needs to deal with while I'm gone), we have the girls decked out in all their Valentine's glory:

(Don't tell anybody, but when I was a kid, we played with the USED vacuum tube all the time)(and I let my kids play with Grandma's all the time)

Cute Valentine pillows and girls!

I love seeing pictures of kids in food containers!

Ummm. That glory doesn't look like the WORST EVER. In fact, I want some, too. Don't you just love vacuum tubes? I think we used to play with a used one, actually. Perhaps that explains some things . . .
