Bleachy Craftiness and Maternity Wear

So I tend to spill a lot when I'm pregnant. And being no laundry genius, the stains generally remain behind. (Go me!) Anyway, being inspired by my last bleach-as-art experiment, I decided to distract the eye from my lovely stains with some freehand decoration.

There they sit, in their bleaching glory. I've found that a simple piece of cardboard (or apple holder material stuff) does well to protect the back of the shirt from accidental mirror-image designs.

(Taken on the crappy cell phone camera.) I rinsed the bleach off after about 15 minutes, then washed and dried with my normal laundry load. The design's a bit more subtle this time, but I like it.

(Small child not included.) I also added a ribbon tie to a super-comfy, yet super-large (1X! What was I thinking?) maternity shirt so that I wouldn't feel so frumpy when I wore it. And the brown shirt got lace added because the bottom band was a bit snug for my maternal frame...and the neckline was a little too free in showing off my *ahem* enhanced proportions.

What can I say? I was desperate for wearable items, and these fixes seem to have done the trick.

These are VERY clever uses of your resources. I'm impressed, especially with the second design. I wouldn't have thought of this - of taking it a step further. Inventive. Really impressed.
