The Christmas Card Dilemma

All righty, then, my friends, this is one post that I absolutely need a response to. You see, I have this thing about Christmas cards. They're time-consuming. The postage adds up. I'm not even sure I know where my address list is. Though I do have plenty of cards stockpiled thanks to a friend who worked for American Greetings and had to get rid of extra stock. Thanks, Kathleen!

So.

Aside from those family members who will be receiving a Christmas card from us because there will be a small gift inside, how do the rest of you feel about Easter cards? They may look eerily similar to Christmas cards, but they'll arrive in late March or April. There will still be family news inside, and they might even be hand-addressed. You'll still know that we love you and think of you often. Yes, you. And you. And you.

So weigh in, my friends! Easter or Christmas card? Which do you prefer?

(If you want either one of those cards (BOTH IS NOT AN OPTION), please send your current address to ladyceltic at gmail dot com. Thank you and Merry Christmas. Or Happy Easter. And good night.)

Haha, funny post. My address will be forthcoming. You can use it in March if you wish. The update is the important thing, not the timing! :)

I don't mind either one. But you better fork over your address if you want your Christmas card here.

We send out Valentines. (On purpose!)

I too am feeling a little overwhelmed at the idea of Christmas cards right now. It may end up being a Christmas email, and I'll just send cards to people like my Grandma who are not online... I would love an Easter card or a Christmas one--whatever you decide!

Cards shmards. Get them out if you can. Are you counting the ones YOU get?

Good point, Cami. I guess not. I like to hear from people, and Christmas cards are a good way to do that. But now that Facebook is so popular with...well...everyone, perhaps Christmas cards aren't as necessary.

I think a Christmas post is wonderful on your blog. Don't send us any cards - I know how much time and money these things cost, and when you have kids, you just don't have a lot of time for that kind of thing. I, myself, have kind of given up on them. i will write letters after Christmas to the family who are not on my list of loving contacts who are kind enough to read my blog. Of course, this is only my opinion - but I would be honored to enjoy our Christmas blog and receive no card at all.
