You see this, Arizona friends? GREEN! This park is a five-minute drive from my apartment, but the whole city looks like this. ALL YEAR. Same with the river--IT ALWAYS HAS WATER IN IT. What a novel concept.
I love it. It's totally worth the humidity. And the bugs, even. Being here makes me happy.
P.S. Don't mind my inability to take good pictures. I have no training. I'm just happy I can get the camera to focus on my kids' faces!

Karie--that is exactly how I feel about living in Washington! It's GREEN and beautiful year-round. I do not miss the Arizona desert (or heat) at all.

Oh, I miss that green. I never minded living here in the desert until I lived away and got all spoiled. Sigh.
