Here we have Afton, begging pitifully to be allowed to watch yet another Winnie the Pooh video. There was fake crying involved at one point, I believe.
Annika saw that I had the camera out and said "Take a picture of me, Momma!" I love her cheesy grin face...
...enough that I dug up a picture from two years ago. Same cheesy grin, but younger. I think we've got another one of her as a baby, giving us that same closed-eye grin, but I draw the line at doing actual *work*, i.e. actually getting into our photo program and exporting it.
Afton and her new summer haircut again. See how well that braid is keeping her hair out of her eyes? It was a genius plan at one point. Then said plan was implemented on a very active two year old. Ah well.
This is just after Daddy graduated (and from Aunt Elise's much better camera). I think it captures their personalities perfectly--Annika analyzing and absorbing the situation, Afton immediately finding the humorous in it. Or plotting to push her sister into the fountain. One of the two.

Your kids are unutterably adorable! I love that picture at the bottom, and the new haircuts. I remember chewing my hair--yuck. So far Amelia hasn't and I'm grateful. I'm letting both girls' hair grow right now, but trying to keep mine short (I have the tendency to get lazy and not get haircuts as often as it would take to maintain the cute short cut).
Sorry to hear you were sick and glad you're feeling better. Happy summer! Hope we can get together again soon.
