Jayne wasn't clear on the lists I was talking about before, so I thought I'd post a little more about them here. Goodreads and Shelfari are applications that allow you to share with other people the books you've read, the books you want to read, and various ratings and/or reviews you've given them. You can add friends, just like you do for Facebook, and see what they've been reading.
Goodreads is here.
Shelfari is here.
I've linked to my personal lists--you can see that I haven't kept up the Shelfari one very well.
Also, I'd like to thank everyone for the compliments on the kids' haircuts, but I have to make an admission--my children have very forgiving hair. Annika's has a decent wave to it, which hides any and all mistakes. I point cut Afton's hair instead of straight cutting it, which also hides my mistakes. I got that tip from Holly G. and thank her profusely for it.
All this talk about haircuts makes me want to go get my hair cut--shoulder length undercut with light layers in the front. I tend to get the same cut most of the time. Granted, I do like to wait until I have 10 inches to donate to Locks of Love, but I'm not feeling that patient this time around.
All right, I have warm tomato soup waiting for me, so I'm out!

Hey, you asked.
And for the record I'm only subscribed to Goodreads, but I update it only when it occurs to me, which is hardly ever.
Ok, more Shelfari plugs:
Hover over a cover and change status, add tags, read review. Awesome.
View shelves by tag from any page.
See more books together at one time.
Just plain pleasing to the eye.
I'd really like someone to explain why GoodReads is cool. I get so frustrated with it.
Also, where is either one of these for MOVIES, I'd like to know.
No kidding, Cams! A movie Shelfari would be awesome.
I like Goodreads because of the features you mentioned Shelfari has--they're very similar that way. Goodreads works better on my computer, however, because it isn't so dependent on Flash. As much as the wood shelves are aesthetically pleasing, I'd rather use something that loads quickly.
And I learned how to use Goodreads first. That's about what it boils down to.
I have not kept up. Thanks for the clarification on the lists. I'll check them out promptly.
